Annalisia Tara Simone Ferguson
Owner, Founder & Director of M.I.A. Dance Factory (Professionally known as Annalisia Simone)
Annalisia Tara Simone Ferguson is a world-class choreographer, performer, and the owner, founder, and creative force behind M.I.A. Dance Factory. A seasoned working industry dancer, she has performed for music legends including Lady Gaga, Chris Brown, Britney Spears, Motley Crue, Usher, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Missy Elliott, Pink, Ashanti, Nelly, Jason Derulo, Keri Hilson, and Eve — with standout appearances on the MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, BET Awards, and American Music Awards, as well as in the feature films Fat Albert and Idlewild.
She began her training at The Dancexchange under the mentorship of Yayi Faretta, later earning full scholarships to Joffrey Ballet, Alvin Ailey, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. After dancing for the Miami Heat, she moved to Los Angeles and booked her first professional job within two weeks — performing with the Backstreet Boys.
In 2007, Annalisia made history by opening The Basement — a groundbreaking studio in North Hollywood and the first dance studio founded by a working industry dancer. It quickly became a creative hub for professionals across Los Angeles.
As a choreographer, she has worked with 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, and Latto, and continues to collaborate with visionary director Bryan Barber. Represented by Bloc LA, Annalisia has trained under and worked alongside some of the industry’s most respected choreographers, including Laurieann Gibson, Fatima Robinson, Wade Robson, Rich & Tone, Flii Stylz, Aakomon Jones, Tanisha Scott, and Jamal Sims.
She has trained rising stars like Cameron Boyce (Descendants, Jessie, Grown Ups), Booboo Stewart (Descendants, Twilight), Raymond Cham Jr. (Teen Beach Movie, Mech-X4), and Deja Carter, now a choreographer for Zendaya, Kehlani, and JoJo.
Annalisia’s work continues to shape the future of dance — elevating young artists with heart, excellence, and a legacy rooted in purpose.
