Owner/Director
Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education/Dance Education.

Adriana
Adriana was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. She grew up being intensively trained by recognized professional teachers at Ballet Tosin Colombia. In 2006 she obtained a Scholarship to finish her secondary studies at Ecole Superieure de Ballet Contemporaine du Montreal where she graduated. She began her professional dancing career in 2007 when she started dancing with Le Jeune Ballet Du Québec Company, an institution with which she continued performing in many elaborate shows around the world and working with numerous Ballet and Contemporary Choreographers. She was awarded the Prix Trophee Argent in 2008 and or in 2009 at the International Dance Encore Ballet Competition in Canada.Since 2010 she has danced professionally for the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami and currently performs classical and contemporary productions. In 2011 she studied at the American Ballet Theatre and obtained her teacher training certification in New York City. In 2013, she joined the faculty of M.I.A. Dance Factory as the Master Ballet teacher where she has had the opportunity to train talented young dancers and has achieved high recognitions and awards in different competitions. In April 2017 she obtained her teacher certification in Cuban methodology from the National Ballet School of Cuba.
Throughout her career, Adriana has participated and performed in various International Ballet Festivals and Competitions in the United States, Canada, France, Spain, Cuba, Mexico, and Colombia. She has been awarded special recognitions for her professional abilities and artistic representations.

ALISON
Alison Aslaender is one of our senior instructors at M.I.A. Dance Factory and has gained recognition for the 2019 Star Dance Alliance Junior Division Regional Championship. She has worked with some of South Florida's most reputable dance programs and companies such as Joffrey Ballet School, Miami City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Michael Krop Senior High School “Repertoire Dance Magnet Program” and was a former member of the Live In Color Dance Company. She has even graced the stage of America’s Got Talent and worked alongside well known celebrities such as Pitbull, Flo Rida, Trina, Wyclef and DJ Laz where she has choreographed, featured in commercials and performed in concerts. Beyond her dancing talent, Alison holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from FIU and Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Alison will be starting her doctorate, PsyD in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Forensics, at Nova Southeastern University this fall, August 2022.

DESTINY
Destiny Richardson is our newest Hip Hop teacher at M.I.A. Dance Factory and has over 3 years of prior teaching experience. Destiny is fun, energetic and connects with all the students and faculty here at M.I.A.D.F . Not only does Destiny teach Hip Hop, but she also teaches Heels classes as well. Destiny is very passionate about what she does; she’s also had the opportunity to work with known artists such as Rico Nasy, Pretty Ricky and more.

SHAQ
Shaquille Lucien is one of our newest instructors at M.I.A. Dance Factory and has been dancing since the age of 14 years old in various styles with contemporary and modern being his favorite. He has trained students that have gone on to New world school of arts and UARTS and dreams of traveling and continuing his passion as an instructor.

Juan
Juan Carlos Fonseca is our Gymnastics Instructor. He has a Bachelors In Physical Education, Gold Title BD from Higher Institute of Physical Culture, USAG Coaching Certification, National and International competitor in the Junior National Pre-Selection, Coach of Men, Women and Children’s hig performance and gymnastics level 2-10 for 23 years.

Paul
Head coach at Nova Gymnastics, Guest teacher at the European juggling and circus festivals in Ireland, Guest teacher for the Caribo Kids Circus in Germany and Guest speaker in Paterborn Germany arts festival.

Yenileisy Lopez
Yenileisy Lopez Hernandez (she/her), a Cuban American native, is a college graduate from Florida Atlantic University in political science with a minor in dance. She has trained and danced with the Treasure Coast dance department since the age of 14, while also participating in numerous performances with the National Dance Education Organization. Along with taking dance classes in ballet, jazz, and modern at FAU, she participated in 2021 and 2022 Repertory Dance Theatre Ensemble (directed by Danielle Jolie Dale-Hancock) as well as performed in and choreographed three dances in Dances We Dance 2022. Upon graduating, she has been a part of a dance film with Showstopper Dance Studio directed and choreographed by Susie Garcia.

Jimmy Arguello
As the founder and the Artistic Director of Arguello Entertainment, today, and for the past 13 years, Jimmy has curated multi-disciplinary dance-based events on a global scale. He is a former principal dancer of Blue 13th Dance Company in LA, and Mosaic Dance Company in Miami. Jimmy has performed in leading fine arts organizations such as The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Actors Playhouse in plays such as “In The Heights”, and West Side Story, The O2 Arena in London, Madison Square Garden, and Sands Theatre in Singapore. His work can be seen on TV shows such as “So You Think You Can Dance”(Season 15 as an Ass’t Choreographer to Nakul Dev Mahajan), Dancing With The Stars(Rock Of Ages The Movie Promo), Bravo TV with Melissa Gorga, and choreographing or performing with award-winning artists such as Ricky Martin, Mary J. Blige, Paula Abdul, Heidi Klum, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jordin Sparks, Lucie Arnaz, Julianne Hough, AR Rahman, Nicole Scherzinger, Brooke Candy, Russell Brand, Prince Royce, Olga Tanon, Gloria Trevi, Fanny Lu, David Bisbal, and many more.
In conjunction with his career as a dancer, educator, and choreographer, Mr. Arguello continues to build a platform-based foundation where artists become team leaders, curriculum developers, and innovators within their craft. Jimmy is an effective leader offering professional development opportunities and support services to his community by sponsoring artists to attend a prestigious dance intensive based in LA, NYC, or Chicago through Arguello Entertainment Youth Scholarship program.
