MANDATORY DRESS CODE
Each of our classes require specific dance attire that must be purchased from our dance wear store.
Students are not permitted to attend classes without M.I.A. Dance Factory attire. Every item in our store
is branded with our M.I.A. Dance Factory logo. We are committed to providing top of the line clothing with
great quality that all of our dancers love.

 

GIRLS CLASS ATTIRE (AGES 3 – 6)
Ballet / Tap

Light Pink leotard, pink tutu (optional), pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes
Hair must be in a neatly secured bun (bobby pins, hairnet, gel, hairspray, etc.).

 

Hip Hop

Sports bra or any M.I.A. Dance Factory top, boy shorts, biker shorts, sweatpants, leggings and any sneakers
Hair must be pulled back neatly off the face in a secure ponytail

 

Acro / Gymnastics

Biketard, leotard or sports bra and boy shorts or leggings Hair must be pulled back neatly off the face
in a secure ponytail

 

GIRLS CLASS ATTIRE (AGES 7 – 18)

Ballet (Open Classes)

Hunter Green leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes Ballet warm-ups (leg warmers, skirts, ballet tops)
may be worn in the first 15 minutes of class Hair must be in a neatly secured bun
(bobby pins, hairnet, gel, hairspray, etc.)

Ballet (Company Members)

Nano Company: White leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes
Mini Company: Red leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes
Junior Company: Burgundy leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes
Teen/Senior Company: Black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes
Mini Team: Hunter green leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes
Junior Team: Gray leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes
Teen Team: Royal blue leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes

 

Contemporary

Sports bra or leotard with boy shorts or leggings and bare feet Foot Undeez, half sole turning shoes
and black tights allowed with teachers permission (Warm-ups allowed for the first 15 minutes of class)
Hair must be pulled back neatly off the face in a secure ponytail

 

Gymnastics

Biketard, leotard or sports bra with boy shorts or leggings
Hair must be pulled back neatly off the face in a secure ponytail

 

Hip Hop

Sports bra or any M.I.A. Dance Factory top, sweatpants, leggings and any sneakers
Hair must be pulled back neatly off the face in a secure ponytail Hats are allowed for Hip Hop

 

Jazz Sports

bra, leotard, boy shorts, leggings or tan tights and black jazz shoes
Hair must be pulled back neatly off the face in a secure ponytail

 

Jazz Funk

Sports bra, leotard, boy shorts, leggings and sneakers
Hair must be pulled back neatly off the face in a secure ponytail

 

Silk / Circus

Sports bra or leotard, leggings, boy shorts
Hair must be pulled back neatly off the face in a secure ponytail

 

Technique / Tricks

Sports bra, leotard, boy shorts, leggings or black tights and black jazz shoes
Hair must be pulled back neatly off the face in a secure ponytail Footundeez or half sole turning shoes
allowed with teachers permission

BOYS CLASS ATTIRE (ALL AGES)
Ballet / Tap White top, black bottoms, black ballet shoes / black tap shoes

 

Contemporary / Gymnastics / Hip Hop / Jazz / Jazz Funk / Silk / Circus/ Technique / Tricks

Any M.I.A. Dance Factory top (white or black for Contemporary / Jazz), any bottom, black jazz shoes, sneakers
(hip hop only), foot undeez, half sole turning shoes or barefeet (contemporary, gymnastics, silk / circus, technique
and tricks only)
